This in Bangkok International Airport.

First day, 18th Feb 2007.
Okay, i'm starting my hols in Cheng Rai la, so we had to transfer planes from Bangkok to Cheng Rai so from this place, we took one of diz bus u see here to out plane. This is juz soooo different from Singapore cuz we get to BE on the plane tracks. LOL.

Yup, this is the plane to Cheng Rai.
Ooh, forgot my manners. Let mi do the introduction, (left to right) me, peiling (cousin), shufen (cousin), my dearest mum and my younger brother.

This is the 2nd floor of the place we're having our first meal in THAILAND!! er.. i mean CHENG RAI!! Haha. Y am i wearing a jacket?? tell u wat, Cheng Rai is suuuuper cold in the morning cuz the wind is ICY cold that kind. LOL.

This is our first stop. Some long neck ppl place. Haha. Okay, tt's very mean, i tink they are called long neck karen or sth la. I took loads of photos there and i didn't know we had to pay them after taking photo with them la.. Then i was thinking, 'why are they standing around??' that kinda stuff. Then my mum told mi muz pay dem la!! Haha, so malu, yup, so i paid 20 baht lo which is <$1 la.. So it's kinda okay.

These ppl, according to the tour guide, are 'protected' by the thai government. But the conditions they stayed in were atrocious la. It's like they are considered lucky if they get to bathe once in 6 mths that kind, and some hadn't bathe for a yr or sth.. Dunno if it's true lo. But they are really optimistic ppl and sold hand made goods for a living. That's mi and my younger bro. The house looks kinda dilapidated and the whole environment screams COUNTRYSIDE!! Lol..

I sooooo do not understand why my dearest daddy here insisted on taking a photo with the bull since it's smelly and dirty. And the worse thing is, he force mi to take wif him!!Haha. So, poor SIMIN had to brave the smelly cow dungs on the floor to go and stand somewhere near the bull. WTH, at least he's wearing shoes, i'm wearing slippers lehz!! *smelly smelly*

But at least the view is rather nice la. (say yes!! i brave cow dungs for diz u know!!)

Our next stop, some BEEEEEAUTIFUL garden. Yup, this is only a small part of the garden. That garden is juz soooo soooo soooo soooo HUGE la. And this is my cousin, jinkang. (an extremely irritating person who left thailand wif a huuuuuge blue black on his arm) *sry sry* Haha. Who ask u to disturb mi anyway!

Still at the massive garden. This is the central of the garden la and this photo is our WHOLE tour group photo. Made up mainly of my relatives but got a few other ppl. I tink 4 outsiders so it's kinda like family also. =))

This photo is soooo sweet ya? Haha..cuz the flowers there are juz darn darn beautiful. I tink gals are really suckers for flowers cuz all the ladies in our tour group were practically swooning over the flowers while the men juz seem darn bored (excluding a few).

I took the most photos here!! But then huh, my cam ran outta battery and i forgot to bring charger la!! Only brought 1 extra battery, that's all. Had a gd scolding from my parents for that =((

No photo for this section, but at night, it was SHOPPING!! Haha. And i realised that my dad knows how to speak thai FLUENTLY la!! Siao, I tot shopping was gonna b tedious but nope, most of the stall tenders knows how to speak english (numbers only) or they had a calculator. Nonetheless, i still picked up quite a few thai lang.

Lol, how do i noe?? cuz usually when we buy in bulk, the max we buy is 4. Buyin in bulk means got discount!! Haha. And the most common pricing is 120 baht, roi-yi-sib. i tink.. (may not b accurate ya). anyway, $1 = 23 baht.

Day 2, 19th Feb 2007.
Cheng Rai

Okay, this is the coolest place of all. Our first stop is here! The border between Thailand and Myanmar. Cool right?? It's kinda like the causeway in s'pore but the immigration thingy there is really really slack that kind, you can see myanmese and thais walking over each other's border. Haha. So in the above pic, u see thai thai thai flags den suddenly myanmar myanmar myanmar flag tt kind. Cool?? Haha. I find it really cool okay.

The sign reads: "The Northern Most of Thailand"

Yes, it's the same place, the border between Thailand and Myanmar. Cool isn't it, it's kinda like take a step and you're in thai, another step and you're in myanmar. That's considered goin overseas already. Haha, of course we cant juz step over like that, but apparently the ppl living there can do this la.

Say cheese!! u're looking at MYANMAR from THAILAND!! Haha.

This place is 'The Golden Triangle", it's supposed to mean the sea or the land, i dunno cuz i was sleeping on the bus while the tour guide was speaking. HAHA. Okay, missed out on alot of interesting stuff. But on this place, we can see Laos and Myanmar la. So mayb the waters in between these 3 countries forms a triangle?? Not sure. Lol. Next time den i go find out ba (if there's a next time)

Same place, the golden triangle. There's the buddha statue behind us. Okay, not being mean or anythin, but is buddha a male/female? Cuz it appears to have boobs that kinda stuff. (take a closer look!)

There's actually soooo many buddha in Thailand and all the buddhas are different u know, so they are not worshipping the same buddha but a different one la. For eg, this buddha is different from the '4-face' buddha that is very famous in bangkok.

Yeah, all of us are wearin shades!! Haha, okay, tt's not mine, it belongs to rich guy jinkang and it's a real 'OKEY' shades in which i dunno cost him how much (i tink at least 100 bucks) and i dunno why he insisted on mi wearing it so tt i wont spoil my eyes. hmmm, makes any sense to u? Not to mi.. haha

Behind us, if i'm not wrong, it's Laos.

What the hell are we looking at??? Okay, we're at the HOTSPA!! But mind u, not hotspa for human, hot spa for egg cooking. *yummy yummy* Haha. My cousin took our family photo la, as in, we din expect it so all of us are eyeing our yummy eggs cooking below. HAHA.

Yup, tt's us again.. HOTSPA. Forgot to mention, i'm the youngest there, this is a super weird clique cuz the next older one is 2 yrs older than mi and jinkand is 6 yrs older. So, i guess it's a miracle that we all clicked well. Lol. Furthermore, all of dem live at bukit batok that area n i'm like wth, yio chu kang. And we all dun meet often, so i guess miracles DO happen.

This is the place where we have our dinner la. And the place where i realise that there's actually a prawn with pincers (GOSH!!). Super shocked and it's blue in colour, i tink juz flown over from mars la.. Yeah, this place is definitely infested with mosquitoes, juz stand the and not move and u see some black black tingy closing in on whatever flesh u have that's exposed. Woah, tt is juz so so horrid!!

In fact, Cheng Rai and Cheng Mai is infested with mosquitoes la. Really really a lot lo.

And this place serves SUPERB tomyam soup, HOT and SPICY and SOUR and DEEEE-LICIOUS!!

Day 3, 20th Feb 2007

Cheng Rai

Okay, nth much to talk abt here, juz that flowers bore mi now cuz we keep visiting flowers la. I mean once is 'WOW' too many times is 'wow'(not). That kind, u know.. Haha

Yeah, we bought this shirt on the first day, SHOPPING SPREE!! It looks nice la, and i didn't wanna buy it, but have to buy 2 den cheaper so she forced mi to buy it, but not bad.. She has gd taste,LOL, cuz i tink it looks nice lehz.

2nd stop, elephant farm!! Haha. I'm sitting on the elephant's leg la, actually the trunk was around mi one, but then dunno y e elephant withdrew it's trunk *sob sob* mayb dun like mi la. STUPID ELEPHANT!! Haha.. Anyway, diz elephant sat on it's on poo la, cuz it shited before it sat down. wth, stink like mad, but i sit sat there cuz my dad INSISTED!! My dad likes smelly places, i guess.

This photo is sooooo candid!! Haha. See my uncle there (extreme right) he's SOOOOO cute, That's shufen's daddy. Haha, okay, i love this photo cuz it showed how enthu we all are! yay =))

The elephants there are very well trained. This one is the goal keeper and there's another elephant standing further away, preparing to score. Haha. They're super cute cuz when it managed to save a goal, it'll stamp arnd in triump and swing it's trunk. Haha, then got one time when it's doin this, the other elepant took the soccer ball and scored behind it's back!! super funny la!

*muacks* I LOVEEEE the elephants!! Haha, cuz they're adorable, smart and supeeeeeer funny!! Haha.

Aft this, we went back to the bus and it's gd bye to cheng rai and here i come, Cheng Mai!

Cheng Mai

This is the 'miao' tribe's traditional costume. Yup, it makes us look fat. Actually, it makes us all look like we got BIG arse. LOL. And i'm wearing clothes underneath some more, the jeans is NOT supposed to be there okay! Haha.. Oh, and there's a hat too. Some girly girly hat, but i tink i look better without it lehz. haah. Dun see them like so poor that kinda place, they actually took a photo for us and photoshop us in thier com then print out okay. (though the photoshop tingy didn't go very well) but at least they own a computer! And they know how to use photoshop.

Cool yeah, this is another stop where there's loads of flowers which is lame shit again la, but at least we had fun this way. Haha.. Dun we all look funny??

This is some buddha place again. Huge temple located at the mountain that kind. Look at the steps, there's 366 steps leading to the temple, did we climb up?? NO!! haha, apparently we were told tt we're taking a 'cable car' up but their idea of a cable car is actually a life that travels in a 45 degree angle. But hardworking us took the flight of steps down la.

At the temple, overlooking Cheng Mai. The view is superb, but it's too cloudy so we couldn't get the buildings on camera.

Another shopping spree!! I bought the italy jersey there for only 250 baht cuz the sales person support same guy as mi!! *materazzi!!!* and also MAN U!! (but not Ronaldo la) Haha, wat a bargain man, cuz the person before mi paid 600 baht. Wahaha!!

Day 4, 21st Feb 2007.

Cheng Mai

Okay, we're leaving Cheng Mai already, goin to Bangkok. Sad man. And jinkang is goin home on that day!! So sad, no one to sit wif mi on e bus already!! Haha.. But nvm la cuz in Bangkok, there's very few bus rides, mainly SHOPPING!! yay!

So, off to Bangkok already. Not many pictures on that day cuz mainly shopping, travelling and settling down.

Er, we went to the MBK, mambokok or sth. Big big shopping mall and wth, my mum and aunties buy shoes there like nobody's business, but i refrained myself lehz, self control (partly cuz i spent a lot a lot already)

THAI MASSAGE!!!

Okay, diz hurts a lot a lot and tickles a lot a lot more!! Wow, it's like she's trying to snap every single bone i have in my body. Haha.. Then while massaging, peiling (2nd one frm e left) suddenly burst out laughing cuz it tickles juz TOO much la. And i was trying to supress my laughter until i tink my expression very funny, e person massagin mi was lyk 'arm chio-ing' la.. Okay, it tickles real bad la.

Initially still okay one but later on she exert more strength until it HURTS lo, den my auntie said before, pain is gd la. So i geng la, cannot shout or anything, but it's very soothing la, i fell asleep some more

Day 5, 22nd Feb 2007

Bangkok

This is the reknown.. er. wat ar? some water market tingy la. Nth much, rather boring but okay la, my mum say MUST come and c if not like never come Bangkok before. Haha, so there i am.

SOme weird costume AGAIN and the head gear is really darn heavy, keep trying to balance it on my head cuz it's too big. Haha.. But dun we all look Thai now?? I tink it's sweet and nice. Juz kinda hot and heavy only la.

So, after this, we went back to the hotel and.... went downstairs to SHOP!!! Haha. It's really shop n shop n shop la.. I tink i shopped frm er, 5 pm tt kind until 11 plus den i go back up.. Cuz at night i pei my daddy ma. Okay, how much did i spent all together? i tink abt 15 000 Baht. WOW, and my mum juz keep givin mi $$$ so it's not exactly my fault right?? Haha. Bangkok is THE number 1 ahopper's paradise okay.

Day 6, 23rd Feb 2007

Bangkok

BAIYOKE SKY HOTEL. This is the hotel we stayed at and it's super super tall la. I tink 80+ floor lo. The view is great and all that. This is the tutu che or sth la.. their cab but it's not run by meter so it's kinda unsafe if the driver is not honest lo.

After this photo taking session, we went for LAST MINUTE SHOPPING!!!

Cool man, i bought a bag, tt's all cuz no more $$ =((

*sad sad* gonna go back to s'pore really soon. Cant bear to leave!! Haha.

In conclusion, Thailand is a really nice place to be in cuz they are really loyal and well cultured. In almost every homes and restaurants, there's photos on their emperor or the royal family, all framed up and hanged up neatly. And when they walked pass some temple or buddha, they'll make an effort to bow down before proceeding on. Also, the people are extremely polite, 'sawadica' can b heard almost everyday, with a bow.

Though got ah guas and there's one guy who juz sprawled down on the floor in the middle of e road in order to beg for money la. But overall, the people are nice and it's really worth my time. A trip well spent =))
